DIGY | Local E-participation Project Opening in Georgia

“Youth Horizons”, in the framework of the DIGY project, organized a local e-participation project that held its kickoff event in Georgia on November 14th

at the Hilton Batumi in the framework of the DIGY project. The purpose of the event was to introduce the public with the intended e-participation initiative to be carried out in Kobuleti Municipality and prepare selected participants with the forthcoming activities.

The opening event hosted the Minister and Deputy Minister of Education, Culture and Sport of Adjara Autonomous Republic of Georgia, as well as the Chairman of the Kobuleti Municiaplity Council and the Regional Representative of the Information Center on NATO and EU of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

The overall goal of the local e-participation initiative is to support the engagement of young people in the local municipal decision-making process using the OPIN platform.

Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA is a partner of the DIGY project, and a Coordinator of the pilot projects, which is funded and supported by the German National Agency for Educational Programs and Mobility through the Erasmus + program, Key Action 2, Strategic Partnership and Innovation and is implemented from 01 September 2019 to 31 August 2022.
