In the period of 13 – 27 March 2013 the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA organized intercultural exchange in Trogen, Switzerland. This exchange has been organized in cooperation between SEGA and the Pestalozzi Children Foundation. 40 high school students from Prilep, Kavadarci, Tetovo, Debar and Kumanovo participated in this exchange. The activity enabled young people to learn about principles of intercultural dialogue and communication, different values and tolerance between children and youth with different cultural background.

The Coalition of youth organizations SEGA in partnership with the Center for education and development (CED) and in cooperation with the Municipality of Tearce started the implementation of the project “Establishment of Council of Youth of the Municipality of Tearce”. The project is financed by the Secretary General of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia. The project aims to increase the youth participation in the decision and policy making processes through implementation of functional institutional mechanisms within the Local Self-Government of the Municipality of Tearce.
During March 2013 5 promotional workshops of the project were organized in larger villages within the Municipality of Tearce – Prsovce, Neraste, Slatino, Dobroste and Tearce. The aim of these workshops was to introduce young people from Tearce to the project and to present the opportunities of their participation through the council of Youth and the Youth Parliament.
In the upcoming period SEGA will implement activities in order to establish Council of Youth and Youth Parliament of the municipality of Tearce.

In the period of 13 – 20 March 2013 the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA conducted survey in all 10 municipalities within the City of Skopje, aiming to investigate youth needs and to scan the situation with youth organizing. The analysis of the survey findings should contribute towards creation and implementation of the local youth policies and in that direction to update information for all areas treated with the National Youth Strategy. 591 young people aged 15 – 29 participated in this survey.
This activity have been organized within the project “Creating Local Youth Strategy for the City of Skopje” supported by the City of Skopje and the region of Lower Normandy – France.
