On the occasion of the Civil Society Week, INFO SEGA Kavadarci together with the Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA, organizes "INFO SEGA KARAVAN" in the center of the city (September 12, 2017).

Local youth had the opportunity to get information about the Erasmus + programme, the services of INFO SEGA, to be part of a creative corner, to convey their ideas and to organize a Living Library.

The idea is to present various services and opportunities that NGOs offer to the local community on the occasion of the "Civic Organizations Section", from 11 - 17 September 2017.

A series of events that promote the work of CSOs will be held throughout Macedonia.

This activity is part of the Civil Society Organizations supported by the USAID Citizens' Participation Program - a series of events that promote the work of CSOs in front of the wider public, with an aim to present various services and opportunities offered by non-governmental organizations to the local community, organized in the period from 11 to 17 September 2017 throughout the Republic of Macedonia.

On 13.09.2017, at Hotel Continental in Skopje, the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA in partnership with the Youth Educational Forum, the First Children Embassy in the World and the Ministry of Education and Science organized a consultative event "Initiative for legal regulation of school participation and organizing". The event was attended by representatives - directors, professors, pedagogues and psychologists from the secondary schools in the Republic of Macedonia.

The purpose of the event was to present the prepared draft text of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Secondary Education concerning the integration of student participation in decision-making in the educational process and to collect opinions, attitudes and proposals of the representatives from the secondary schools in the Republic of Macedonia before submitting the draft text to the Ministry of Education and Science for further processing.

The event is part of the project "Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Macedonia", supported by Pestalozzi Children's Foundation.

The Coalition of youth organizations SEGA in cooperation with The Agency for Youth and sport started the implementation of the project “Youth information as a basis for youth participation”. The Project is being implemented with the support of the National Agency for European educational programs and mobility, through the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 3 (Structural dialogue).

The purpose of this project is to provide greater awareness of youth as a basis for increasing the youth participation in the creation of public opinion, i.e.  in the decision making process at the local and national level, as well as greater integration of the youth in the society.

In the first phase of the project, the National Workshop "Informed and included youth" was organized , together with decision-makers at the national and local level. The workshop was held on September 5, 2017 in Hotel Continental, Skopje. It included a total of 25 participants, decision makers from different municipalities in the Republic of Macedonia (Prilep, Kavadarci, Sv.Nikole, Debar, Gostivar, Strumica, Veles, Bitola, Karpos, Kisela Voda and Centar) as well as representatives from the General Secretariat of the Government of R. Macedonia and the Directorate for Personal Data Protection.

The purpose of this workshop was to gather opinions about the state of youth information as a basis of youth participation at national and local level, and for the participants to open a discussion on finding better ways of providing available and transparent information of interest to young people and their needs, as well as to give recommendations for establishing a youth information system at the local and national level with mechanisms for sustainable development.

The following activities include local discussions in 10 municipalities in Macedonia where the opinions of young people and representatives of local institutions will be gathered regarding the steps.

In the period from 06 - 09 December 2017, a National Workshop "Creating a Position Paper with recommendations for improving youth information" will be held in Hotel Biser, Struga, where young people and decision makers will participate at the local and national level.
