The project Fostering social inclusion through employability enhancement “Open door for youth by youth “Open door for youth by youth” from the second grant scheme of IPA4 component with specific accent on the social inclusion, started with implementation since 15th of December 2015. Coordinator of this project is Coalition of youth organizations SEGA that implements the project in partnership with CESOR and EASP from Macedonia and KABA from Slovakia in the period of 20 months.

On 19th of April 2017 in Skopje, was held the second meeting of the Governing Board of the project Fostering social inclusion through employability enhancement “Open door for youth by youth “Open door for youth by youth”. On this meeting the so far achievements of the project were reviewed, as well as the future activities within the project were presented. The Governing Board is consisted of representatives from institutions and organizations that will be included directly or indirectly in the implementation of the project activities, therefore per one representative from: The Ministry of labor and social affairs of R.M, Institution for social work, Inter-municipality Center for social work from Prilep, Bitola, Shtip and Skopje, Public Institution Children Home “11 ti Oktomvri” – Skopje, Public Institutuin for taking care of children with educational – social problems and the SOS Children Village.

The main aim of the project Fostering social inclusion through employability enhancement “Open door for youth by youth” is to improve the social inclusion of the vulnerable categories of young people through creating of equal opportunities for easier access into the labor market. Also, with this project will be supported, improved and increased the participation of vulnerable groups of young people in the labor market and their entire integration into the society. The final users of this project are young people users of social help and young people with unfavorable life conditions who spend their life in institutions for social protection through which will be provided their inclusion in the society and into the labor market.

The Council of Youth of the municipality of Prilep organized local discussion on the subject “Encouraging youth participation through improvement of the function of the Council of youth” that was held on 27th of March (Monday) in the office of the INFO Career Center. The aim of this discussion was to collect opinions of young people for youth participation at local and national level and what is the need for encouraging of youth participation through the Councils of youth.

The local discussion was realized within the project “Youth participation in the decision making process” that is implemented by Coalition of youth organizations SEGA in cooperation with the Agency for youth and sport and by support of the National Agency for European Educational programmes and mobility, through the programme Erasmus+ , Key action 3 (Structural dialogue).

The aim of this project is to improve the function and role of the Council of Youth in the following municipalities: Prilep, Kavadarci, Shtip, Krivogashtani, Negotini, Krushevo, Gazi Baba, Gjorche Petrov, Karposh, Grad Skopje.

In the period of the month of May in Struga will be held National conference with decision makers and as a final result of the project will be prepared Position paper with recommendations for strengthening the position of Local Councils of Youth.

Valuable resource for youth information workers containing methods and best practices of youth information work in Europe, a product of the strategic partnership between SEGA, UMKI and ERYICA.

SEGA launches the Guide of best practices “Youth Information Workers fit for Youth” that will be available for download on our web site starting of 25th March.

The Guide aims to serve youth information workers in Europe as valuable resource in their daily work. It contains methods for on-line and off-line information and best practices of youth information work in Europe.

The Guide is being prepared within the strategic partnership project “Youth Information Workers fit for youth” between Coalition of youth organizations SEGA - Macedonia, UMKI – Croatia and European Youth Information and Counseling Agency (ERYICA) – Luxembourg, supported through the Erasmus + Programme.
