In the period of 2010 - 2011 the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA implemented the project "Creating Local Youth Strategies", with financial support of the Agency for youth and sports of the Republic of Macedonia, CIVICA Mobilitas Programme, and 13 local self-governments from Macedonia (Prilep, Bitola, Tetovo, Shtip, Ilinden, Kisela Voda, Sveti Nikole, Kavadarci, Gevgelija, Radovish, Debar, Negotino and Veles). The aim of this project was to increase youth participation in the political, social, economic and cultural life in the local community through creating Local Youth Strategies.

The process of developing Local Youth Strategies encompassed analysis of the local youth needs in 13 municipalities through survey and focus groups. All 13 draft strategies were submitted to theMunicipal Councils. 12 of 13 proposed local youth strategies have passed by the Municipal Councils.
