In the period of 01 - 05 May 2013 in Caen, Lower Normandy – France, a study visit “Local and regional network in the field of youth employment” was organized. Zoran Ilieski – Coalition of youth organizations SEGA and Antonio Karalanov – Department for international cooperation took participation in this activity; also this activity was supported by Civil Society organizations and foundations in the City of Skopje.
Experiences for the current local youth policies and the models for employment were shared on this study visit; also the opportunity for future cooperation at local, regional and national level was reviewed among the guests from Lower Normandy – France and Macedonia in the field of youth employment.
This activity is part of the Axe II “Youth, Education, Local and European citizenship” within the “Project for decentralized cooperation between R. Macedonia and the region “Lower Normandy from France”, managed by the Association for Local Democracy Agencies, and implemented by the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA – Macedonia and the European House from Caen – France.

In the period of 13 – 27 March 2013 the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA organized intercultural exchange in Trogen, Switzerland. This exchange has been organized in cooperation between SEGA and the Pestalozzi Children Foundation. 40 high school students from Prilep, Kavadarci, Tetovo, Debar and Kumanovo participated in this exchange. The activity enabled young people to learn about principles of intercultural dialogue and communication, different values and tolerance between children and youth with different cultural background.

The Coalition of youth organizations SEGA organized evaluation meetings with the child ombudsmen and representatives of 10 school organizations from Prilep, Bitola, Ohrid, Struga, Debar, Gostivar, Tetovo, Kumanovo, Kavadarci and Shtip, during March 2013.
The first evaluation meeting aimed to discuss the challenges and advantages of the Child Ombudsman Programme which is being implemented since 2011. The Child Ombudsmen and their deputies exchanged experiences and ideas for their promotion and for strengthening their role in the schools.
The second evaluation meeting was dedicated for the presidents and members of primary school organizations. At the meeting children exchanged experiences about their activities and their organization.
In both meetings was concluded that additional support by the school management is needed in order to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the activities.
During April SEGA will organize evaluation meetings with child ombudsmen and representatives of the school organizations in the high schools from the same cities. These meetings are being organized within the project “Implementation of the Convention on the rights of the child in Macedonia”, supported by the Pestalozzi Children Foundation.

Children ombudsmen and their deputies from the primary and secondary schools from Ohrid, Struga, Bitola, Stip and Gostivar during November participated in the training for the specific role of the children ombudsmen. On this training the participants acquired knowledge for their role, how to recognize the violence of the children rights and what is the procedure for the submission of complaints.
This activity was organized within the activities of the project Implementation of the Convention on the rights of the child in Macedonia, financed by the Children Foundation Pestalozzi.

During the month November 2012 two trainings for the Convention on the rights of the child were organized. The elected children ombudsmen and their deputies from the primary and secondary schools from Ohrid, Struga, Stip, Bitola and Govstivar participated in these trainings. The training participants acquired knowledge for the background, structure and the role of the Convention on the rights of the child. More specifically, were reviewed the rights of the children which refer on the existence and the development, rights which refer on the protection, participation, and the right of the child in the educational process. Also, the participants acquired skills of how to transfer their acquired knowledge of their peers.
This activity was organized within the activities of the project Convention on the rights of the child in Macedonia, financed by the Children Foundation Pestalozzi.
