VIDEO CONFERENCE “EUROPE CALLING”

Prilep, 22 May 2013) INFO SEGA and Youth Council Prilep organized Video Conference “Europe Calling” within the project “Let’s celebrate Europe”, supported by the EU Info Center in Macedonia. This project aims to raise the awareness and to promote European culture and values among youth. The video conference was held in the premises of INFO SEGA and was attended by 20 young people and professors of the Gymnasium Mirce Acev – Prilep.

The event was organized in cooperation with the European House (Maison de l’Europe) of Caen, Lower Normandy, and one high school from Caen. At the video conference youth from both countries presented their schools and home cities, and have discussed on topics such as European values, tolerance, European citizenship etc. Special part of the video conference was dedicated to celebration of 09th of May – Europe Day in Macedonia and France.

This event enabled young people, from two different parts of Europe, to exchange their experiences and views on European citizenship and nourishing European values among youth.

Within the project “Let’s celebrate Europe” music happening will be organized on the 31st May 2013 in the city center of Prilep where young artist will present themselves.

PRILEP CELEBRATES EUROPE DAY

The Youth Information and Counseling Center INFO SEGA and the Youth Council Prilep today celebrated 09 May “Europe Day”.

Today in the city center of Prilep INFO SEGA and Youth Council Prilep organized INFO Day aiming to celebrate Europe Day and to raise the awareness on the European values.

The Mayor of Prilep, Mr. Marjan Risteski, visited the stands of INFO SEGA and Youth Council Prilep and sent congrats in occasion of the Europe Day.

During May INFO SEGA and Youth Council Prilep will organize various activities in occasion of the Europe Day within the project “Let’s celebrate Europe” supported by the EU INFO Center in Skopje.

The project aims to raise awareness and to promote European culture and values among youth.

LET’s CELEBRATE EUROPE

The Youth Information and Counseling Center INFO SEGA and the Youth Council Prilep will once again celebrate 09 May “Europe Day” this year.

On the 01 May 2013, INFO SEGA in cooperation with the Youth Council Prilep started the implementation of the project “Let’s celebrate Europe” supported by the EU INFO Center in Skopje.

The project aims to raise awareness and to promote European culture and values among youth.

Project objectives:

-       To promote Europe Day – 09 May among youth;

-       To increase knowledge and understanding on European citizenship and European values among youth;

-       Exchanging experiences and practices on European values through video conference between Macedonian and French youth.

The project envisages 5 educative workshops “Let’s learn about EU”, one in each high school in Prilep; radio shows on PULSE radio; video conference between Macedonian and EU young people; and as final activity project foresees music happening under the motto “Let’s selebrate Europe”.

Agenda for project activities during May:

            01 - 31 May 2013 – Entertaining radio show on PULSE Radio (www.pulseradio.mk);

            09 May 2013 – INFO DAY in the city center in Prilep;

            13 - 17 May 2013 – Educative workshops for high school students;

            22 May 2013 - Video Conference;

            31 May 2013 – Music happening “Let’s celebrate Europe”.

CELEBRATING THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOUTH THROUGH FLASH MOB

(Prilep, 08 August 2012) The Youth Information and Counseling Center INFO SEGA and the Youth Council Prilep, Youth Club of Red Cross – Prilep, Orientation club “Zlatovrv” – Prilep, women handball club “Filip 107”, the Club of young folk dancers “Mominok” and local youth organizations from Prilep, in organization of the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA, will celebrate the International Day of Youth – 12 August, on Saturday under the motto “Young people are asking”, through unique Flash Mob action.

Group of young people will form a question mark in the city center of Prilep as a symbol of the European Campaign “Information right NOW – Young people are asking!” and as well as a symbol of all questions concerning youth all around Europe.

As a result of this activity a short film will be made in order to send the message “Young people are asking” which will be broadcasted in the media and also will be available on our websites and as well on the website of IRN campaign www.informationrightnow.eu.

Starting from 17th of April 2012 the Youth Information and Counseling Center INFO SEGA – Prilep and the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA, together with its member organizations from Macedonia, participate in the European Campaign “Information right NOW – Young people are asking!”. On this day, young people entered in the municipalities and were introduced with the work of the local Members of Parliaments, and posed questions to the President of the Municipal Council. On the Day of Europe – 09th May, youth were introduced with the bodies and institutions that manage the EU and implement youth policies all around Europe.

The European Campaign is implemented by ERYICA (European Youth Information and Counseling Agency) in partnership with the Council of Europe, and the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA, as member organization of ERYICA, is leader of the campaign in Macedonia.

PAN-EUROPEAN CAMPAIGN IN TEARCE

(Tearce, 16 May 2012) The campaign “Information right NOW – Young people are asking” is implemented in 16 European countries by initiative of ERYICA (European Youth Information and Counseling Agency) in partnership with the Council of Europe. As affiliated organization of ERYICA, the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA, through its member organizations, and in cooperation with the Youth Information and Counseling Center INFO SEGA – Prilep implements the activities in the Republic of Macedonia. Within the campaign a pan-European activity was envisaged, that on the 16 May 2012 was implemented in all countries involved in the campaign.

The Center for Education and Development – Tearce, member organization of SEGA, within the pan-European activity has organized creative youth event. Young people, from the municipality of Tearce, at big canvas have drawn a big question mark and in three languages (Macedonian, Albanian, and English) wrote down their questions concerning their everyday life.

25 young people, volunteers at CED, participated at the event and placed the question mark in the center of Tearce.
