- From concept to project implementation -
(25-27 March, Struga) The Coalition of youth organizations SEGA within the project “Strengthening the capacities of the current youth organizations in their functioning”, have organized training for “Project Cycle Management”.
The participants in this training were consisted of representatives of 16 youth organizations from Macedonia (Skopje, Tetovo, Struga, Kavadarci, Prilep, Stip, Sveti Nikole, Kicevo, Strumica and Bitola.
The project cycle management in general, phases of the project cycle management, identifying the problem, defining of the problem, defining of the aims, identifying and defining of the stakeholders and target groups, methodology and project activities, defining the expected results and the monitoring & evaluation system, structure for project implementation and project team, project sustainability, were the subjects of the training for the representatives of the youth organizations.
The next training of the cycle for strengthening the organizational capacities of the youth organizations will be organized in May on the topic “Financial working of the civic organizations”.
The project “Strengthening the capacities of the current youth organizations in their functioning” is implementing within the Annual Programme of SEGA for 2011, supported with the CIVICA Mobilitas Programme, implemented by CIRa and financed by SDC.

(24 December 2010) Within the project “Supporting youth activism in the Republic of Macedonia”, implemented in the period of June – December this year, but above all because of the confidence in the Coalition SEGA, as unique non-governmental and non-profit organization which supports the youth and the youth organizations in the Republic of Macedonia, four non-formal groups from Kicevo, Veles, Kratovo and the municipality of Ilinden – Skopje were registered as youth organizations according to the Macedonian legislation.
The Association for youth activism NASE VREME (Our Time) from Kicevo, The Association for cultural cooperation CEKORI NA MLADITE (Youth Steps) from Veles, the Association for Youth activism KRATER from Kratovo, YOUTH ASSOCIATION PRIZMA from the municipality of Ilinden – Skopje are the new formal youth organizations.
The Coalition of youth organizations SEGA secured legal and financial support in the registration of the organizations as legal entities according to the Macedonian legislation. These kind of activities for formalizing youth organizations in the cities where such organizations still don’t exist, will continue in the future, emphasizes the Executive Director of the Coalition SEGA, Zoran Ilieski.
This November the Coalition SEGA organized an orientation meeting aiming to determine the priorities and the needs of the new youth organizations, for their functionality, sustainability and development.

On 21 of June meetings were organized in Veles and Kratovo, with already existing informal youth groups and organizations from the aforementioned cities, in order to contribute towards strengthening their capacity and their registration as a citizen association. The aim of these meetings was to present the possibilities, advantages and benefits from the registration as a citizen association. Coalition SEGA will provide legal and financial support for starting a process of registration to the interested youth groups.
This activity is within the project “Support of youth activism in the Republic of Macedonia” which started from 01 June by the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA, and will be implemented in five cities in Macedonia.
The project is being implemented within the Annual programme of Coalition SEGA for 2010 which is supported with the CIVICA Mobilitas programme – implemented by CIRa and financed by SDC.

From 01 June 2010, the Coalition SEGA implements the project “Supporting youth activism in Republic of Macedonia”. The project will be implemented in five cities from Republic of Macedonia (Struga, Demir Hisar, Veles, Gostivar and Kratovo) in period of seven months.
This project aims to strengthen youth activism in the Republic of Macedonia.
Within this project existing informal youth groups and organizations will be supported in order to register them as Citizen Association, according to the Macedonian legislation, the capacities of current youth organizations in their field of work will improve, and funds for supporting youth organizations in treatment youth issues will be developed.
This project is implementing within the Annual Programme 2010 of Coalition SEGA which is supported with the CIVICA Mobilitas programme – implemented by CIRa and financed by SDC.
