Open Call _ Youth Start Up for Reconciliation and Cooperation in the Western Balkans

Youth civic engagement is perceived

for many political experts as a driving force for political and economic development and democracy stability. Especially Western Balkan countries, which democracies are in process of development, consolidation, reconciliation and are actually in the stage of efforts to access to EU, should ascertain youth civic engagement as a necessity and priority for the inter-cultural and good neighbourly relations and institutional, legal and democratic infrastructure transformation.

Focused on inspiring change, reconciliation and intercultural change in the Region, Women’s Network Equality in Decision Making in Albania, Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA in Macedonia and ZANA NGO in Kosovo will implement the initiative “Youth Start Up for Reconciliation and Cooperation in the Western Balkans” that aims to facilitate the creation of inter-action space for young people between 15-29 years old - 30 Albania, 30 Macedonia and 30 Kosovo - to strengthen cooperation through know-how, networking and active participation. The initiative is supported by RYCO within its first Open Call for Project Proposals. The young people engaged in the initiative will join the Youth Start-Up Leaders Program and will participate in the Western Balkans Camp hosted in Tirana. Through this initiative, young people will discover neighbour countries, traditions and cultures through non-formal learning and develop creative thinking, to come up with fresh ways to solve problems – to think outside the box -, mutual understanding, make new friends and have fun!

If you are young and want to make a change in Western Balkans and in your country, just apply to Youth Start Up for Reconciliation and Cooperation in the Western Balkans - it could be the adventure you have been looking for!
