In the period from 5th to 19th of December an Intercultural Exchange was held in the Children’s Village Pestalozzi in Trogen, Switzerland.
There was a group of 40 children from Belarus and 40 children from Macedonia from 5 high schools: OSU "Kliment Ohridski" - Ohrid, SOU Gimnazija "Mirche Acev" - Prilep, SUGS "Georgi Dimitrov" – Skopje, SOU "28 Noemvri" – Debar and SOU Gimnazija "Goce Delchev" – Kumanovo.
The exchange has a special program in which the participants will acquire knowledge and skills related to children's rights, with the principles of intercultural dialogue and communication, anti-discrimination, mutual understanding, respect and tolerance of values between different cultures.
At the end of the exchange, participants prepared action plans that should be implemented in their schools, in order to impact their knowledge to their peers on the topics they manage during the exchange, while at the same time remembering the wonderful moments they had in the village.
In the weekends, participants had excursions and visited the cities Zurich and Luzern, also theѕ visited Rainfall, Santis der Berg and Technorama Swiss science museum.
The intercultural exchange is part of the project "Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Macedonia", implemented by the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA with the support of the Pestalozzi Children's Foundation.
